SONY IMX204 is a diagonal 9.33mm (type 1/1.7) CMOS image sensor with a square pixel array and 20.68M effective pixels. It is only available in color. It is possible to output the signals of 20.68M effective pixels with high definition for shooting still picture thanks to the 12-bit digital output. It realizes 12-bit digital output for shoting high-speed and high-definition moving pictures by horizontal and vertical addition and subsampling. It achieves high sensitivity and low dark current. It has an electronic shutter function with variable storage time. This product is designed for consumer uses: digital still camera and camcorder.
